The value of NERA:  What we do

Business Meeting

Administration

We serve as administrators for the region, managing the Northeast portfolio of multistate projects and providing oversight of the National Information Management and Support System (NIMSS).

Digital social media

Information Commons

We are an information commons, serving as both aggregators and disseminators.  NERA hosts best practice sessions, orientations, trainings, and distribute a biweekly newsletter.  We are relentless networkers, connected with business officers, communicators, NGOs, NIFA personnel, influencers, and policy makers.

Brainstorming Session

Collaboration

NERA serves as a "Co-Laboratory."  We engage regional stations in multistate efforts.  We extend planning grant opportunities to assist faculty with submission of competitive, externally funded grants.  We provide a non-judgmental forum for holding conversations on challenges faced by deans and directors.

Washington Monument

Representation

We represent the region, serving as the face and voice of Northeast Agricultural Experiment Stations on both regional and national levels.  We promote engagement, and assist our directors that take on national leadership positions.
